Honors Scholarship

 

We are pleased to announce an honors scholarship program for doctoral (PhD) students doing their research at Volcani Institute for the upcoming school year.

​

  • The scholarship will be at a rate of 9000 NIS per month, for 4 years, provided that the amount of the scholarship does not exceed the upper limit allowed in the relevant academic institution.

  • The doctorate can be done at any of the universities in Israel (with which Volcanic has a valid agreement) provided that the research, in whole or in part, is done at the Volcanic Institute.

  • Requirements for excellence: a grade of 90% or higher in the BSc degree and submission with the full details (as detailed below).

  • In the cycle beginning in the upcoming school year, up to 5 outstanding students will be admitted to the program.

  • Last submission date 1.8.2022.

So how do you compete for a scholarship?

​

  1. Turn to researchers at Volcanic  (https://www.volcaniinstitute.info/) and find a supervising researcher;

  2. Enroll for a third degree (PhD) in coordination with the supervising researcher at one of the universities in Israel (with which Volcanic has a valid agreement);

  3. With the help of the supervising researcher, write a short proposal (see this link for the form to be completed) regarding the research topic proposed for PhD and its goals. Form should be uploaded to the website at https://forms.gle/8m9Jsj6kNtrfLPxw5 . A resume and confirmation of admission or admission processes for PhD studies from the university must also be uploaded to the website.
